YUMBEE
:: HOW TO PLAY: Be lucky and think :) |

|
(1) Press the start button. (2) In the
window that will appear you should type your name or nickname.
If you leave the text box empty the computer will remember
your game under the name “No Name". (3) Press OK
and the game will start! |
|
|
|
 |
|
(4) Yumbee displays the player name. (5) Roll the dice. To
do this, press the roll button and you will see and hear the
dice rolling. (6) You can roll up to three times before scoring.
If you forget that, the computer will not allow you to cheat
and roll more then three times. That is why the box on the
left reminds you how many times you have rolled by number
and by the color of the small lamp: Yellow - you can start
a new rolling turn, Green - you can roll more times before
scoring, Red - no more rolls left, you must score.

(7) Let's see the score
after the first roll. It's good to hold two dice with fives.
Press on them and they will lock and wait (b). Other three
will remain active and will be rolled again after you press
the roll button (a). (8) The dice are rolled three times.
The lamp is red. You must enter the score! (9) You have
a full house--you can also score three of kind, 15 in fives,
or 6 in threes. This can all be done in the free column
only (see the rules). What you will choose to score depends
on your strategy.

(10)
A good score, like three sixes after the first roll, could
bring a dilemma. You can hold three sixes and keep rolling,
score 18 or three of kind in the First Hand column, or declare
sixes or three of kind in the Call column. You can declare
or declare by clicking on the cell in the Call column. (11)
Once you click the cell you want to call, there is no going
back. Only that cell is open. Roll again. (12) The turn is
over. All cells are closed except the declared one. Press
it and score. |
|
|
|
 |
|
(13) What can we do with only the two sixes? It's not good
to score the upper 12 and probably lose the bonus. (14) We
can use a bad score to advance! The Down-Up column is empty
and the Yumbee cell is open, so click on it! (15) The form
will ask if you really wish to sacrifice that cell. (16) Cancel
it if you change your mind, or press the OK button and.. (17.)
Score zero with the meaningful sound effect! Now the chance
for a four of a kind in the column is opened. |
|
|
|
 |
|
(18) Third roll and.. Yumbeeeeee! Five of kind! The big bonus!
Lucky score, or maybe not. (19) All boxes are closed. The
threes cell has been called. We must score in the threes cell.
(20) The Yumbee brought us only 15 points! It could be more,
if... What a game!
|
|
|
|
 |
|
(21) The game total stopped at 1586. (22) It's 200 less than
the highest score, and there are no more empty cells left.
(23) The game is over. The sound and the window with the final
score tell us that. We must try once more to change to beat
the best player on the list and his or her top score. (24)
Until that time, we can check if we are among the best five
Yumbee players, or did this score raise the scoring average.
Open the Game menu, and click on Top Five or Statistics. |
|
|
PLEASE NOTE: This version
of the Yumbee computer game doesn't have the undo feature. The reason
is: the undo possibility would open a cheating possibility. Therefore,
be careful. Good luck! |
